WE ARE BEAR SMART

You are staying in bear country. 'Ironwood is Bear Smart.' Please help us keep bears wild and our community safe.

  • NEVER feed bears.
  • Keep all garbage and recycling indoors or in the bear-proof bins provided.
  • Do not leave food in your car or on the BBQ.
  • If you see a bear, do not run. Stay calm, speak in a low voice, and back away slowly.

Garbage, Recycling & Compost

The garbage and recycling room is located on the P1 parkade level. Please sort your waste:

  • Compost: All food scraps (meat, bones, dairy, etc.) go in the compost.
  • Recycling: Paper, cardboard, hard plastics, and cans.
  • Garbage: Anything else.

Getting Around Whistler

Public Bus (BC Transit)

The #10 (to Village) and #20 (to Creekside) are your main buses. The stop is a quick walk from the unit. Fare is $2.50 cash, or you can buy tickets/passes at the grocery store.

Free Village Shuttle

In summer, the #4 shuttle is free and loops the Village. In winter, the #5 shuttle is free and serves the Upper Village/Benchlands.

Taxis & Ride-Sharing
  • Whistler Taxi: The primary taxi service.(604) 932-3333
  • Whistle! App: A local ride-hailing app, similar to Uber.
  • Uber: Has a very limited presence in Whistler and may not always be available.
Walking

The Valley Trail is a beautiful, paved network connecting all of Whistler. You can walk from Blueberry Hill to the Village in about 20-25 minutes.
